Requirements 20 Years Later

20 years ago the Agile manifesto announced a new era in development. Many practices from the waterfall process, including system-engineering requirements management, were thrown out of projects. For the next 20 years, we watched as the void was filled. Today it's time to talk about requirements again: whether they are needed and, if so, in what role and quality.
