Wiegers' requirements ontology, while not based on any standards, remains a popular way to think about requirements among IT analysts. I've been using Wiegers' methodologies for over 20 years, and during that time the inconsistencies and problems in his model became apparent. Using language methods and systems engineering approaches, I've been able to figure out how I can make Wiegers' model more accurate, balanced, and useful for my work. I would like to offer you this updated ontology and explain how to apply it.
