Business Analysis: Craft or Art

What do you think: is business analysis, which we do, a craft or an art?

I'll give you my opinion. It seems to me that in some cases it is an art, and in some cases it is a craft. It depends on the level of competence of the analyst. But the problem is that both are bad. Because business or systems analysis should be "engineering". That is, it shouldn't be a mechanical execution of standard tasks like writing User Story, and it shouldn't be the art of a freelance artist who creates as he sees fit. And every new project is a new work of art unlike anything else. I want to share my vision of how to transform business analysis into engineering.
